Half way into the radiator replacement project annnnnd

It’s broke. I mean technically its probably still not-leaky but Im not going to put in a damaged radiator. Thing that pisses me off most? I inspected it when it came it, but the damage could only been seen when you unstrap it from the packaging and turn it over. I was keeping it in box to protect it from damage. That worked out well.

So now it shall wait, crosseyed and noseless for a new one to ship out. Yay!

That rubber gasket looks... dirty. Can’t tell if its two years of warehouse dirt or sketchy part dirt.

its a reuse part from the old one. though I am a little pissed this radiator doesn’t come with the foam that 80 series actually need to not overheat. I have to find something else to work.

I had to replace the radiator in my SL2 twice. The second time was because I didn’t notice the separated side tank on the new replacement.

When we got the radiator for our Suburban, the middle of the bottom was dented up 2-3 inches. The box was undamaged, so someone just threw in a broken radiator when they shipped it.
